Eastwood High School Medical Pathway
The Medical STEM Academy (Health Science) at Eastwood High School is designed to provide students with the opportunity to take relevant courses required to become prepared for post-secondary healthcare opportunities. Eastwood High School's Medical STEM Academy is designed to offer freshman students a broad introduction to the various Healthcare industries. As students move through the pathway classes, the focus shifts to Medical terminology, AP Biology, and Anatomy & Physiology. Upon successfully completing the program, Eastwood High School STEM graduates will:
*Successfully complete the classes set fourth in the STEM Pathway
*Earn Post-Secondary Credit in high school
*Participate in available Summer Camps
*Participate in Internship Opportunities
*Participate in any university level curriculum or training opportunities
*Be exposed to academic scholarship opportunities
*Graduate with Distinguished Academic Program
Courses
Freshman Year: Pre AP Biology
Sophomore Year: Pre AP Chemistry or Chemistry
Junior Year: Physics or Pre AP Physics & Pathophysiology
Senior Year: Biology II & Anatomy & Physiology
